Classics Eagles U10 Girls Team Red Devils is coached by Justin Turner. This is a very hard working group of girls who really enjoy playing together and having fun with one another. When they step on the field, there is always a combination of laughter and sweat! Dedicated to improving their individual skills with the ball, all of the players attend the weekly supplemental skill training Classics Eagles provide. Learn more about Coach Justin and Team Red Devils and what makes them so special below:

What is your favorite thing about coaching Team Red Devils?

I have coached several different sports over the past 20 years and I have found that coaching girls is just a lot of fun.  The team needs time to talk and play, but will get serious when it is game time and are always ready to go!  I enjoy the fun nature this team's approach to the sport of soccer with, the energy and excitement in which they practice and play.

How many years have you been coaching and working with kids?

I am an 8th grade teacher in my 14th year of teaching I have coached high school and middle school football, middle school wrestling high school and middle school softball for the past 20 years and I have coached youth soccer for the past 6 years.

Tell us about the other coaches helping you with the team?

My assistant coach is Mark Brown, he is absolutely amazing with the girls. Mark is my neighbor and does not have kids of his own yet but loves the sport and is an awesome coach.

How would describe the team's personality?

The girls are hardworking and tenacious.

What do you think makes this group of players special? What do you want them to accomplish this year?

These girls are special because they do not give up, they work hard and most importantly they have fun while doing it.

I want them to continue to have fun as they learn and improve, a goal I have set for them is to become a little more aggressive as they attack the ball.

How did you come up with the name "Red Devils" for the team?

Girls liked the name Red Devils and the name just fit.

How do you spend your time when you are not coaching?

Most of my time is spent with my family my amazing wife Mollie and daughter Addison, who also rides horses and plays softball so we are always going to an event somewhere.  On the rare day we are home, I enjoy being with my dogs we have a 6 year old pit bull mix and a 6 year old maltichon .

Who is your favorite soccer player? Favorite team?

Favorite team is the COLUMBUS Crew!

Favorite Player is any of the goalies probably, Eloy Room

I enjoy watching them play!

What is the most important thing you want the players to learn this year?

Grit - the ability to achieve and work through tough circumstances and discomfort- while still having fun.
